6 Select the sound source when
using Play Timer, or prepare the
tape when using Rec Timer.
For Play Timer:
Press  or  repeatedly until the
desired sound source appears, and
then press ENTER. e display shows
the timer settings.
For Rec Timer:
e display shows the timer settings.
7 Press  to turn o the system.
When you set the Play Timer or
Rec Timer, the system turns on 30
seconds before the preset time. Do
not operate the system from the time
the system turns on until the play or
recording starts.
To check the setting
1 Press TIMER MENU.
“TIMER SEL?” ashes in the display.
2 Press ENTER.
3 Press  or  repeatedly to select
“PLAY SEL?” or “REC SEL?.”
4 Press ENTER.
To change the setting
Start over from step 1.
To cancel the timer
1 Press TIMER MENU.
“TIMER SEL?” ashes in the display.
2 Press ENTER.
3 Press  or  repeatedly to select
“TIMER OFF.”
4 Press ENTER.
Notes
 e Play Timer and Rec Timer will not be
activated if the system is turned on or if
“STANDBY” ashes in the display. Be sure to
turn o the system at least 60 seconds before
the preset time.
 e volume is reduced to minimum during
R
ec Timer.
Tips
 e Play Timer setting remains as long as the
setting is not canceled manually.
 e Rec Timer is canceled automatically aer
t
he Rec Timer has been activated.
