Using the timers
e system oers three timer functions.
If you use the Play Timer or Rec Timer
with the Sleep Timer, the Sleep Timer has
priority.
Sleep Timer
You can fall asleep to music. is
function works even if the clock is not
set.
Press SLEEP repeatedly to select
the time you want.
e system turns o aer the preset time.
Play Timer
You can wake up to DVD, tape or tuner
at a preset time.
Use buttons on the remote to control the
Play Timer. Make sure you have set the
clock.
Rec Timer
You can record from a preset radio
station at a specied time.
Use buttons on the remote to control the
Rec Timer. Make sure you have set the
clock.
You cannot activate both the Play Timer
and the Rec Timer at the same time.

Prepare the sound source.
For Play Timer:
Prepare the sound source, and
then press VOLUME +/ (or turn
MASTER VOLUME on the unit) to
adjust the volume.
For Rec Timer:
Tune in the desired preset radio
station.

Press TIMER MENU.

Press or repeatedly to select
“PLAY SET?” or “REC SET?,” then
press ENTER.
“ON” appears and the hour indication
ashes in the display.

Set the time to start playback or
recording.
Press or repeatedly to set the
hour, then press ENTER.
e minute indication ashes in the
display. Use the procedure above to
set the minute. “OFF” appears and the
hour indication ashes in the display.

Use the same procedure as in
step 4 to set the time to stop
playback or recording.
