Recording onto a tape
ere are three ways to record on a TYPE
I (normal) tape.
Use the buttons on the unit for the
operation.
e recording level is adjusted
automatically.
CD Synchro Recording
You can record an entire VIDEO CD,
AUDIO CD or DATA CD/DVD (MP3
les only) onto a tape.
Manual Recording
You can record just the portion you
want from a sound source, including
connected audio components.
Sound Mixing (Models with Karaoke
function only)
You can “mix” sound from any one of the
sound sources and singing or speaking
into a microphone. e mixed sound can
be recorded onto a tape.

Insert a recordable tape into
the deck B, then press TAPE A/B
repeatedly to select “TAPE B.”

Prepare the recording source.
For CD Synchro Recording:
Press DVD and load the disc you
want to record. If you have already
loaded the disc, press DISC 1
DISC 3 to select the disc. When the
system automatically starts playback,
press twice to cancel resume play.
Tracks are always recorded from the
rst track and when a tape reaches
the end of its front side, the recording
stops.
If you want to record specic tracks,
perform manual recording (see
below).
For Manual Recording and Sound
Mixing (Models with Karaoke
function only):
Select the desired source to record
or mix.
If you record a disc manually, start
playing the disc rst, then perform
steps 3 and 4. To record only your
favorite CD tracks, perform steps 1
to 6 of “Creating your own program”
(page 41).
To record only sound from a
microphone, connect a microphone
and then press VIDEO/SAT to select
“VIDEO/SAT” function. Make sure
not to connect any component to the
VIDEO INPUT AUDIO L/R jacks.
