      If there is no sound from your Sony DVD Player, try the following: * Reconnect the connecting cord securely. * If the audio signal does not come through the DIGITAL OUT (OPTICAL or COAXIAL) jack, check the audio settings. * If you are playing a Super VCD on which the audio track 2 is not recorded, no sound will come out when you select “2:STEREO,” “2:1/L,” or “2:2/R.”

      If the sound volume is low on your Sony DVD player, it may be because the sound volume is low on some DVDs. The sound volume may improve if you set “AUDIO DRC” to “TV MODE”. You can also set “AUDIO ATT” in “AUDIO SETUP” to “OFF”.

      If there is no picture or picture noise appears on your Sony DVD Player, try the following: * Reconnect the connecting cord securely. * Check the connection to your TV and switch the input selector on your TV so that the signal from the player appears on the TV screen. * If the picture output from your player goes through your VCR to get to your TV, please try connecting your player to your TV’s S VIDEO input. * If the color system of your player does not match with that of your TV, change the color system of the player. * If you have set “COMPONENT OUT” in “SCREEN SETUP” to “PROGRESSIVE” even though your TV cannot accept the signal in progressive format, set the COMPONENT VIDEO OUT/SCAN SELECT switch on the back panel of the player to INTERLACE.

      If the angles cannot be changed on your Sony DVD player, try using the DVD’s menu instead of the direct selection button on the remote. Multi-angles may not be recorded on the DVD being played, the angle can only be changed when the “ANGLE” indicator lights up on the front panel display, or the DVD prohibits changing of the angles.
