receiver

turned
off,
install
two
batteries
in
the
bat-
ary
compartment
at
the
rear
as
follows.
| Slide the VOLUME control to about 1.
Turn on the power
Open the battery compartment lid, install two batteries,
IEC designation R6, (size AA) with the correct polarity as
indicated inside the compartment, then close the lid.
The flat sides of the batteries
press against the springs.
Battery life
About
one
year
of
operation
can
be
expected
when
using
Sony
3UM-3(NS)
New
Super
Batteries.
Be
sure
to
replace
the
batteries
nce
a
year
to
avoid
damage
from
leaking
batteries.
Note
3e
sure
to
turn
on
the
receiver
before
installing
or
replacing
the
bat-
ceries.

the
batteries
are
installed
or
replaced
with
the
power
turned
off,
ncorrect
figures
wil!
appear
in
the
function/frequency
display
and
you
are
not
able
to
tune
in
the
desired
station.
In that case:
@
Leave
the
unit
with
power
off
for
30
minutes.
@Turn on the power.
@ install the two batteries.
@Place
the
desired
frequencies
in
memory
again.
