  If your Sony Monitor displays no picture, ensure the power cord is properly connected and the power switch is in the 'on' position. Verify the video signal cable is correctly connected and all plugs are firmly seated. Also, check that the HD15 video input connector's pins are not bent. Confirm the computer is powered on and not in power saving mode (try pressing a key or moving the mouse). Ensure the graphic board is completely seated in its slot. You can also use the Self-diagnosis function.

If a second degauss cycle is needed, allow a minimum interval of 20 minutes for the best result. This humming noise is not a malfunction.
