FLASH_ROM access control
This CADEC IC writes the FPGA configuration data for update that is sent from the upper CPU to the FLASH_ROM
(IC1803).
This CADEC IC monitors power status on boards and PLL lock status.
Clock generator control
This CADEC IC controls clock cleaner ICs 1902 and 1904.
SDI reclocker control
This CADEC IC controls SDI reclocker ICs 2203, 2204, 2208, 2207, 2314, 2313, 2318, 2317, 2424, 2423, 2427, 2428,
2534, 2533, 2537, and 2538.
5-5-3. CNI-45 Board (XKS-S9112)/CNI-45A Board (XKS-S8112)
The CNI-45 board has the following functions.
• Corrects the waveforms of the video signals from the 16-channel SDI_IN (BNC) connector by the cable equalizer
IC, and then outputs the corrected video signals to the signal processor FPGA (IC2, IC3).
• Converts the format of the input video signals to the FPGA (IC2, IC3), performs Primary Color Collection and
Delay processing, and then outputs the processed signals to the mother board.
However, the CNI-45 board cannot convert signal formats to a format with different frame rate.
• The configuration data of the FPGA (IC2, IC3) varies as follows depending on system format.
- type-A: Used for system format 4K
- type-B: Used for formats other than system format 4K
• SDI_IN supports 16 channels (8 channels in the case of 12G) and SDI_OUT outputs 32-channel signals to the
mother board.
The CNI-45A board has the following functions.
• The CNI-45A board has functions equivalent to the CNI-45 board, but has four input channels for 12G.
Functions of CADEC (IC1)
FPGA configuration
This CADEC IC configures the FPGA (IC2, IC3) by using the selected single-type configuration data from the FLASH_
ROM (IC1301, IC1303) configuration data by the initialization processing during the power-on process and by switching
configuration data by MENU to make initial settings.
FLASH_ROM access control
This CADEC IC writes the FPGA configuration data for update that is sent from the upper CPU to the FLASH_ROM
(IC1301, IC1303).
This CADEC IC monitors power status on boards and PLL lock status.
Clock generator control
This CADEC IC controls the clock generator (IC1402).
SDI cable equalizer IC control
This CADEC IC controls the SDI cable equalizer: IC300, IC301, IC302, IC303, IC400, IC401, IC402, IC403, IC500,
IC501, IC502, IC503, IC600, IC601, IC602, and IC603.
