Connect
the digital voltmeter
between
TP11
and
ground fTPl). Adjust
R148
on
the
Control
P.C.
Board to obtain
a
reading
ofX ±0.01
Vdc.
where
X=
(speed
+ 1000)
+
2.5.
For
example,
at
3400
rpm.
the
reading
should be
5.9
±0.01
Vdc ([3400 +
1000]
+
2.5
=
5.9).
Turning
R148
counterclockwise
decreases
voltage.
(NOTE:
Obtain the
speed
from the
frequency
meter
attached to
the
test jacks on
the back
of
the
centrifuge.)
Calibration
of
Minimum/Maximum Speed
Circuit
(R44
&
R47)
1.
Make
sure
the
R44
(Minimum
Speed)
is turned
fully
counterclockwise
and
R47
(Maximum Speed)
is turned
fully clockwise.
2.
Turn
speed
control
knob
to OFF. Adjust
R44
(turning
it
clockwise to
decrease
voltage)
to read 4.45 ±0.05
Vdc
at test
point
TP15. Adjust
R47
(turning counter¬
clockwise to
decrease voltage) to
read
3.35
±0.05
Vdc
also
at test
point
TP15.
3.
Plug
the
frequency
meter into
the
jack
on
the back of the
centrifuge.
Turn
the
speed
knob to
the
1000
rpm
setting.
Adjust
R44
(turning
it
counterclockwise
Increases
speed)
until
the
frequency
meter
displays
1000
±100
rpm.
4.
Turn
speed
knob to
3200
rpm
setting.
Adjust
R47
(turning
it
clockwise increases
speed)
until
the
frequency
meter
displays
3200
±100
rpm.
NOTE
If R44
or
R47
are
adjusted too high
or too
low,
a
non-speed control
circuit
condition
may
occur
and
require
you
to
repeat
the
Absolute
Maximum
Speed
and Minimum/Maximum
Speed
calibrations.
5.
Repeat steps
3
and
4
to recheck
the
1000
rpm
adjustment
and
the
3200
rpm
adjustment
until
no
further
adjustments
are
necessary.
The
adjustment
of
one
potentiometer
may
affect
the
other,
and,
therefore, they
need
to
be rechecked.
