Latch Solenoid
Assembly
Replacement
1.
Unplug
the
centrifuge
power
cord.
2.
Open
the front
panel
(paragraph
5-32)
and locate
the
latch solenoid
on
the right hand
latch
assembly (see
figure
5-2).
3.
Remove
bracket
screw
and lockwasher
that
secure
solenoid bracket to latch.
4.
Remove
the
pin
actuator
that
secures
the solenoid
plunger
to
the
latch.

Remove
the
two solenoid mounting screws
that
secure
solenoid
to
solenoid
bracket.
6.
Disconnect the solenoid
connector
J19
and
remove the solenoid
assembly.
7.
To
replace
latch solenoid
assembly,
reverse
procedure
given
above.
When
replacing
the
solenoid,
be
sure
the
actuator
pin engages
the
microswitch
and the solenoid
bracket
tab is
properly
aligned
to
prevent
binding
of
the
solenoid. Test
movement.

and locate the
solenoid
switch
on
the latch
assembly on
the
right.
