3.
Remove
the
bracket
screw and
lockwasher that
secure
the
solenoid bracket
assembly
to
the
latch.
4.
Remove
the
actuator
pin
on
the
solenoid
plunger.
5.
Remove
the
two solenoid
mounting
screws
that
secure
the
solenoid microswitch
to
the
solenoid bracket
assembly.
6.
Disconnect
the
microswitch
wires,
after
noting
proper
wire
locations for
reassembly.
7.
Remove
the
microswitch.
8.
To
replace
the
microswitch, reverse
the
procedure given above.

Latch
Assembly
(with Interlock)
Replacement
1.
Unplug
the
centrifuge
power
cord.
2.
Open
the
front
panel
(paragraph
5-32)
and
remove
the
screw
holding the
panel
retaining cable.
When
the
cable
is
released,
be sure
the
panel
is
supported
by
the
work
surface.
3.
Locate
the latch
assembly
with interlock
on
the
right
hand side
near
the
run/brake
relay
(see
figure 5-1). Remove
the
relay (paragraph
5-4).
4.
Remove
the
snap ring
from
the
linkage
on
the left
hand
mating latch.
5.
Disconnect
the
solenoid and solenoid microswitch
connections (noting
proper
wire
locations for
reassembly).
6.
Remove
the
black Kydex®
cover
by
prying
the
plastic
caps
off
the
four
screws
(one
in
each
comer)
and
removing
the four
screws.
7.
Remove
the
six
mounting screws
that
secure
the latch
assembly
to
the
frame.
8.
Remove
the
two
mounting screws
that
secure
the latch shaft
to
the
front
panel portion
of
the
frame.
9.
Unhook
mechanical
override
loop
from
latch
assembly
and
move
latch
assembly to
the
opening
in
the
frame. Remove
the
C-clip from the
linkage and remove
the
linkage.
10.
Work the shaft
free from
the
hole In
the
frame. Remove
the latch
assembly,
taking care
not to
damage
the
P.C.
boards
or pull wires
off
terminals.
To
replace
the
latch
assembly:
1.
Remove
the
mounting bracket
and
three
screws from
the
old latch
assembly
and
install them
on
the
new
latch
assembly.
2.
Reverse
the
procedure given
above.
