From inside
the
rotor chamber, remove
the
gyro
seal
and foam insulating
ring.
7.
If
a temperature sensor
is
installed
in
the
rotor
chamber to
the
right
of the
gyro
assembly,
remove
it.
8.
Cut the
Vdcro*
strips
between
the
two
top
frame
plates. Then,
remove
the
fourteen
screws
securing
the
frame
plates
in
place.
Separate
and
remove
the
frame
plates.
9.
Lift
the
bowl
assembly
out
of the
centrifuge
and discard
it.
10.
To
replace
the bowl
assembly,
reverse
steps
3
through
9.

1.
Unplug
the
centrifuge
power
cord.
2.
Remove
the
access
panel
(paragraph
5-33).
3.
Disconnect the fan
connector (P10).
NOTE
Be
careful
not
to
pull
the
wires
off
the brake
resistor mounted
on
the
rear
frame.
4.
Remove
the
nuts
from the
four
corners
of the
fan
assembly
and
remove
the
assembly.
5.
To
replace
the
fan.
reverse
steps
2
through
4.

Fan Motor
Replacement
1.
Unplug
the
centrifuge
power
cord and
remove
the
access
panel
(paragraph
5-33).
2.
Make
a cut
in
the
cardboard fan shroud at
the middle
of
one
side
(see
figure 5-5).
3.
Remove
the
two screws
that
secure
the shroud
and
fold
it
out
of the
way.
4.
Remove the four
mounting screws
that
secure
the
fan
motor
and
lift
the
motor out
through
the
cut side
of the
shroud.
5.
To
replace
the fan
motor,
reverse
the
procedure given
above, placing tape
over
the
cut
area
of
the
shroud
to
hold it
together.
