Tension Adjustment
1.
Check the
motor pulley
and
gyro
pulley
to be
sure
that the
drive
belt
is
engaged
properly.
2.
Check the
spring
tension
on
the
drive
belt
using
the
spring
tension
gauge
(PN
07650)
as
shown in figure
5-13.
Loosen
locking
nut.
then
tighten or loosen
the
adjusting
nut
on
the
retaining
hook
to obtain
proper
tension
(25-30
Ibs).
Tighten
locking
nut.
3.
The
drive
belt
microswitch.
located
against
the
motor mounting
plate,
should
trip
if
a
belt
fails. Be
careful not
to trip
the
switch when
adjusting
the
belt
tension or
you
will
create
a
fault
condition.
If
the
switch does
trip,
reset
it.
