Centrifuges
b.
Remove
the four
mounting screws
that
secure
the
Temperature
Control
P.C.
Board to
the
front
panel.
Then,
remove
the
nut
securing
the
heatsink and
remove
the
Temperature
Control
P.C.
Board.
c.
Remove
the heatsink
from the
Temperature
Control
P.C.
Board.
Attach the
heatsink
to Q3
on
the
newTemperature
Control
P. C.
Board (PN 07841).
It
may
be
necessary
to
add thermal
compound
between
transistor and heatsink.
d.
Install the
new Temperature
Control
P.C.
Board to
the front
panel using
hardware
removed
in
step b.
CAUTION
Be
sure
to
properly
align connectors
P4, P5,
and
P6
with the
pins
on
the
Temperature
Control
P.C.
Board.
Failure to
properly
reconnect
P4,
P5,
and
P6
can
result in
damage
to
the
board.

Reconnect
P4,
P5,
and
P6
and wires to
terminal block
TB1.

a.
Disconnect
the
temperature sensor
P
11 from the
wiring harness
(P
11
has red
and
black
wires
and is located
on
the
main
harness
near
the
speed
tachom¬
eter.)
b.
Remove
the female
connector
from
the
wires
of the
temperature
sensor, using
a
pin
extractor
tool
to remove
the
pins.
Retain
the
connector
for installation
of
the
new temperature
sensor supplied
with the
Temperature
Control
P.C.
Board.
c.
From inside
the
rotor chamber
remove
the
temperature
sensor and
grommet
(located in
the
bottom of the
rotor
chamber to
the
right
of the
gyro
assembly).
Discard temperature sensor
and
grommet.
d.
Calibrate
the
Temperature
Control
P.C.
Board
(PN
07841). See Section
8.
e.
When calibration
of the
Temperature
Control
P.
C.
Board is
completed,
install
temperature
sensor
as
follows:
1)
From
inside
the
rotor
chamber.
Install
the
grommet
into
the
hole in
the
bottom
of the rotor
chamber.
2) Install the
temperature sensor
into the
grommet
so
that the
sensor
is
approximately
3
mm (1/8 inch) above
the
grommet.
3) Thread
the
wires
of the
temperature sensor toward the front
panel wiring
harness.
Insert
the
pins
into the
female
connector
(retained
from
step
b)
making sure
that
the
pins
align
with PI
1.
4)
Reconnect temperature sensor
plug
to
PI
1.
