Using the Menu
Description of Menus
Note:
If a menu/submenu/setting/function is not visible, it is controlled by a local administrator.
Contact them, fi a change is needed.
The handset offers a range of functions that are grouped into menus. The main menu
consists of the following menus: Phone Book, Call Register, Messages, Presence (system
dependent), MSF Function, External Services, Status and Settings.
Note:
If the handset is in menu mode, and an incoming call arrives, then the menu will be
dropped and the call will be handled as usual. When the call is terminated, the handset
returns to menu mode.
In the following, you will find a short description of the menus.
Phone Book (Local)
You can store directory numbers/SIP extensions and names in your local phone book.
Note:
Besides your local phone book that can be reached and managed from the main menu,
there is also a company phone book and external services - both pointing to a corporate
directory list (common phone book) containing numbers to call. For more information,
see "Company Phone Book Calls (System Dependent)" on page 32 and "Description of
Menus" above.

firmware version PCS 17J or newer, Spectralink IP-DECT Server must have firmware
version PCS 17C or newer, and the Spectralink DECT Server must have firmware

The phone book can store up to 50 names with up to four directory numbers each. The
maximum length of a directory number allowed is 24 digits. Names are sorted alphabetically
starting with their first character.
