This filter holds s oil a nd foo d resi due i n the sump ar ea and preve nts it fr om being
rede posited o n the dishes during a cycle.

the l ower s pr ay ar m and w ashed d own the dr ain.

If your dishwasher is left in an unheated plac e during the winter, ask a service technician to:
Cut off electrical power to the dishwasher. Remove
fuses or t rip circuit breaker.
Turn off the water supply and disconnect the water
inlet pipe from the water valve.
Drain water from th e inlet and water valve .pipe
(Useapantocatchthewater.)
Reconnect the water inlet to the
water valve.

Remove the plastic sump cover in the
tub the bottom and use a sponge to
soak up water in rubber boot.

To removeth esprayarm, screwoff the nut totake out thewasheron top of thespray arm and remove the arm.
Wash the ar ms in soapy and w arm wat er an du se a soft br us h to clea n t he j ets.
Repl ace them aft er ri nsing the m th or oughly.

t hen lift it up.

When following this procedure fro m step 1 to step 3, the filter system will be removed;
when following it from Step 3 to Step 1, the filter system will be installed.
