How to fix Standard Horizon Transceiver when the SCAN key does not start the scan?

If the SCAN key on your Standard Horizon Transceiver isn't initiating a scan, it could be due to a couple of reasons. First, no channels might be stored in the memory; use the MEM key to add desired channels. Second, the squelch might not be properly adjusted. Adjust it to the threshold where the noise just disappears. Be careful not to adjust it too far, as this could eliminate incoming signals.
