Why does my Stanley CS25 Pole Saw cut so slow?
    • D
      Daniel PhelpsJul 30, 2025
Slow cutting with your Stanley Pole Saw can be due to several reasons: * Insufficient fluid flow or a low relief valve setting: Adjust the fluid flow to the proper gpm and, for optimum performance, adjust the relief valve to 2250 psi/155 bar. * A dull chain: Sharpen the chain according to instructions or replace it. * Excessive back-pressure: Ensure back-pressure does not exceed 250 psi/17 bar at rated flow, measured at the end of the tool operating hoses.

What to do if my Stanley CS25 Pole Saw tool does not run?
    • C
      Corey JacksonAug 2, 2025
If your Stanley Pole Saw isn't running, there could be a few potential causes: 1. The power unit might not be functioning correctly. Check the power unit for proper flow and pressure: 4–6 gpm/15–22 lpm at 1500 psi/104 bar minimum for the CS28, or 7–9 gpm/26–34 lpm at 1000 psi/70 bar minimum for the CS25. 2. A coupler or hose might be blocked. Remove any obstruction. 3. There could be a mechanical failure. Disassemble the tool and inspect it for damage.

Why is the On/Off trigger hard to press on my Stanley CS25?
    • K
      Kayla SanchezAug 7, 2025
A hard-to-press On/Off trigger on your Stanley Pole Saw can be caused by: * Reversed pressure and return hoses: Correct the hoses for proper flow direction. * Excessive back-pressure: Ensure back-pressure does not exceed 250 psi/17 bar at rated flow, measured at the end of the tool operating hoses.

What causes oil leakage around the drive sprocket on a Stanley CS25?
    • K
      Kathryn WalkerAug 11, 2025
Oil leakage around the drive sprocket of your Stanley Pole Saw is typically due to motor shaft seal failure. Replace the seal as required, and ensure that the oil present isn't due to excess oiler flow.

Why does my Stanley CS25 Pole Saw tool run backwards?
    • V
      valerie37Aug 16, 2025
If your Stanley Pole Saw runs backwards, the pressure and return hoses are likely reversed. Correct the hoses to ensure proper flow direction, noting that the motor shaft should rotate clockwise.
