Usage Features:

  • Cordless Operation: Powered by STANLEY FATMAX 18V Lithium-Ion battery packs, offering portability and freedom from power cords.
  • Extended Reach: Designed for trimming high hedges and shrubs from ground level, reducing the risk associated with working on ladders.
  • Five-Position Head (9): The trimmer head can be adjusted to five different positions, allowing for versatile cutting angles to reach various parts of a hedge.
  • Handle Module (11) and Trimmer Head Module (12): The tool is assembled by combining these two modules, connected by a threaded pole (5) and threaded sleeve (6).
  • Locking Latch (7) and Lock Button (2): These mechanisms secure the trimmer head in the desired position and facilitate assembly/disassembly.
  • Trigger Switch (1): Activates the trimmer.
  • Foam Gripper (4) and Handle Module (11): Provide multiple gripping points for two-handed operation, ensuring control and balance.
  • Battery Fuel Gauge: STANLEY FATMAX battery packs include three green LED lights to indicate the level of charge remaining.
  • Working Positions: Maintain proper footing and balance, avoid overreaching. For new growth, use a wide, sweeping motion with a slight downward tilt of the blade. For level hedges, a string can be used as a guide. For side trimming, orient the trimmer as shown and sweep up from the bottom.
  • Trimming Guidelines (UK & Ireland):
    • Seasonal leaves (new leaves every year): June and October.
    • Evergreens: April and August.
    • Conifers and other fast-growing shrubs: every six weeks from May until October.

  • Safety Features: Includes a hand guard (8) and requires two-handed operation. Head protection is recommended when operating overhead.
  • Battery Charging: The charger indicates charging status (charging, fully charged, hot/cold pack delay) via LED lights. It is designed to detect problems and protect battery life by suspending charging if the battery is too hot or cold.

Maintenance Features:

  • Blade Care: Keep cutting blades sharp and clean for best performance and to reduce injury risk. After use, clean blades with a resin solvent and apply a light film of lubrication. Run the trimmer vertically for a few seconds to disperse the lubrication.
  • Regular Checks: Periodically inspect blades for damage and wear. Do not use the tool if blades are damaged. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts, and any other condition that may affect operation.
  • Cleaning: Blow dirt and dust out of the main housing and air vents with dry air. Use a cloth dampened with water and mild soap for non-metallic parts. Do not use solvents or harsh chemicals.
  • Storage: Store the tool indoors in a dry, high, or locked-up place, out of reach of children. Always fit the blade cover when storing or transporting. Remove the battery pack from the tool when not in use. For optimal battery life, store battery packs at room temperature when not in use, and fully charged in a cool, dry place for long storage.
  • Service: Tool service should only be performed by qualified repair personnel using identical replacement parts. Damaged battery packs should be returned to a service center for recycling.
  • Environmental Protection: Products and batteries marked with the "separate collection" symbol must not be disposed of with normal household waste. They contain recyclable materials and should be recycled according to local provisions (www.2helpU.com).
