Why won't my Stanley SXPG42601 Trimmer start?
- KKenneth RodriguezAug 1, 2025
There are several reasons why your Stanley Trimmer engine might not start: * **No spark:** Check for a spark by removing the spark plug, reattaching the cap, and laying it on the metal cylinder. Pull the starter rope and look for a spark at the tip. If there's no spark, try again with a new spark plug. * **No fuel:** Push the primer bulb until it's full. If it doesn't fill, the fuel delivery system may be blocked. * **Engine flooded:** Set the choke lever to the FULL CHOKE position, squeeze the trigger, and repeatedly pull the rope until the engine starts. This may require numerous pulls.
