PLEASE READ BEFORE USE
• Do not measure a rotating part; it is dangerous to the
operator and can cause premature wear to the contact faces
• Do not expose the gage to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures
• Avoid mechanical shocks or fast movements that may
damage the instrument
• If the gage is dropped it should be rechecked for calibration
• Do not expose the dial indicator to direct air flow from
a compressor. Foreign particles can be forced into the
mechanism and cause failure.
• If the gage is to be stored for long periods of time it is
advised to release the indicators preload
• The warrantee will be void if the gage is disassembled, unless
you have been trained by the manufacturer's representative
• Do not immerse the gage in any liquid
NEW FEATURES TO THE 84A/84MA BORE GAGE
1. Handle Assembly: The knurled handle has become a two part
knurled assembly consisting of a removable aluminum grip
and an aluminum cap. The main grip threads into the shroud
assembly while the cap tops the grip off. If a longer handle is
desired, handles can be combined.
2. Dial Indicator: The dial indicator of the 84A is now independent
of the shroud and can be operated without this protective piece
if required
3. Indicator Housing: The indicator housing has become more
ridged to eliminate reading interference
4. Internal Components: Internal parts have been updated for
ease of operation and increased accuracy
