GENERAL RECOMMEDATIONS:

WARNING:
To avoid serious injury, ALWAYS REMOVE
the Battery from the machine to cleaning or
maintenance.
During maintenance, USE only original parts.
Non-original parts can cause risk of accidents
and damages to the product. In order to ensure
safety and reliability, all repairs shall be carried
out by a company accredited by Starrett.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE:
The machine can be cleaned more effectively with dry compressed air.
However, it is mandatory ALWAYS USE safety glasses.
AVOID USING solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Several plastics are
prone to the attack of commercial solvents. USE clean cloths to remove dirt,
dust, oil, grease, etc.
1. POSITION the Direction of Rotation Selector in the center (LOCK);
2. OPEN totally the Chuck.With a screwdriver REMOVE fi xing screw in-
side the chuck.TAKE the screw out (fi gure 14A);
