What to do if my Steamfast SF-375 Steam Cleaner unit fails to heat up?

  If your Steamfast Steam Cleaner isn't heating up, first, ensure it's properly plugged into an electrical outlet. Check your household circuit breaker or ground fault interrupter and reset it, or replace the fuse if necessary. Also, the boiler might be empty, so refer to the Filling Boiler procedure. Mineral build-up could also be the issue; in this case, refer to the Mineral Build-up section for the cleaning procedure. If none of these steps work, immediately cease usage and unplug the unit.

  If the steam output from your Steamfast Steam Cleaner is weak or intermittent, it could be due to a low water level in the boiler. Refill the boiler according to the Filling Boiler procedure. Another possible cause is mineral build-up in the unit. If so, clean the unit following the Mineral Build-up section's cleaning procedure.

  If your floor surfaces appear cloudy or streaky after using the Steamfast Steam Cleaner, the microfiber pad might be dirty. Try replacing it with a clean one. Another potential cause is hard water residue on the floor. If this is the case, switch to using distilled or de-mineralized water in your cleaner.

What to do if there is too much water in the steam from my Steamfast Steam Cleaner?

  If you notice an excessive amount of water in the steam from your Steamfast Steam Cleaner, it might be due to water condensation in the steam hose. To resolve this, point the nozzle towards a sink, tub, or the ground and shake it while pressing the steam trigger until the excess water is released. Also, check if the boiler has been overfilled, as filling it with more than 48 oz. (1,420 ml.) of water can interfere with steam production. Always fill the unit with the correct amount of water.
