  If your Steamfast Steam Cleaner fails to heat up and the lighted on/off switch does not illuminate when set to the “ON” position, first ensure the power cord is properly plugged into an electrical outlet. If it still doesn't work, check your household circuit breaker or ground fault interrupter and reset it, or replace the fuse. If problems persist, unplug the unit immediately and contact Consumer Service for assistance.

How to stop excessive gurgling in Steamfast Steam Cleaner hose?

  Some gurgling is a natural effect of the steaming process. However, if you experience excessive gurgling or water dripping from the steam nozzle, point the steam nozzle downward and shake thoroughly to remove excess water droplets that may have condensed inside the hose.

Why is my Steamfast SF-547 not heating up even though the light is on?

  If the lighted on/off switch is illuminated but the unit isn't heating, the water reservoir may be empty. Refer to the Filling With Water procedure on Page 9 to refill the unit. Alternatively, there might be mineral build-up inside the unit. In this case, refer to the Mineral Build-up section on Page 12 for the cleaning procedure. If neither of these solutions work, immediately cease usage, unplug the unit, and contact Consumer Service for assistance.

  If the steam output is weak or intermittent, it could be due to a low water level in the water reservoir. Refill the unit with water according to the instructions on Page 9. Another possible cause is mineral build-up in the unit. Descale the unit by following the cleaning procedure described on Page 12.
