What to do if the LED on my Stihl AL 501 Battery Charger flashes red?

If the LED on your Stihl Battery Charger flashes red, it could be due to a few reasons. First, there might not be proper electrical contact between the charger and the battery; try removing the battery and then reinserting it into the charger. If the LED continues to flash, there may be a malfunction with the battery, especially if 4 LEDs on the battery are flashing, indicating it needs replacement. If not, have the battery checked by a Stihl servicing dealer. Alternatively, the charger itself might be malfunctioning, in which case you should also have it checked by an authorized Stihl servicing dealer.
