•
Check film of lubricant at
regular intervals -
every 50 hours of operation if you
use your brushcutter daily
or once a year if you use your
brushcutter occasionally.
•
Mark the end of the gear head on
the drive tube.
•
Release the clamp screws .
•
Pull the gear head off the
drive tube.
•
Pull the flexible shaft out
of the drive tube.
•
Use STIHL gear grease
0781 120 1109/1110 to coat dry are-
as of the shaft:
Do not apply too much grease -
never pump grease into the
drive tube.
•
If shaft has turned blue, fit a
new one.
•
Push shaft into the drive tube -
turn it to and fro until distance $is
less than 10mm (3/8").
•
Slide the drive tube into
the gear head -
turn drive shaft back and
forth until mark is reached.
•
Line up the gear head.
•
Tighten down the clamp screws.
