: Remove the cover (1).

: Carefully ease the brake spring
(1) off the anchor pin (arrow).
: Unhook the brake spring (1) from
the brake lever (2).

: Disconnect the brake band (1)
from the lever (arrow) and
remove it.

Install a new brake band if there are
noticeable signs of wear (large
areas on inside diameter and/or
parts of outside diameter) and its
remaining thickness is less than
0.6 mm.

: Remove the E-clip (arrow).

: Remove the hand guard (2) with
lever (1) from the pivot pins.
– Pull the lever out of the hand
guard.

– Draw the hand guard (1) out
through the opening in the cover
(arrow).
: Remove the inlay (1) and leaf
spring (2).
Clean all disassembled parts with a
little standard solvent-based
degreasant not containing any
chlorinated or halogenated
hydrocarbons.

– Examine the inlay and leaf spring
and replace if necessary.
