The oil feed rate is suitable for most applications
when the oil pump adjusting screw (1) is in posi‐
tion E (Ematic).
The oil pump feed rate can be adjusted to suit
different bar lengths, wood species and working
techniques. The range of adjustment of the oil
pump adjusting screw (1) is limited by a stop (2).
The stop (2) can be depressed in order to further
increase the oil feed rate.
To increase oil feed rate
Shut off the engine and engage the chain
brake.
Turn the oil pump adjusting screw (1) clock‐
wise.
To increase oil feed rate still further
Shut off the engine and engage the chain
brake.
Use a suitable tool to depress the stop (2).
The stop (2) remains permanently depressed.
NOTICE
The oil tank will be drained at a faster rate if
the oil pump adjusting screw (1) is in the ‘A’
segment. The point where the saw chain is no
longer being lubricated properly will be
reached sooner.
Fill the oil tank to maximum.
Move the oil pump adjusting screw away
from the ‘A’ segment when the increased oil
flow rate is no longer required.
Turn the oil pump adjusting screw (1) clock‐
wise.
To reduce oil feed rate
Shut off the engine and engage the chain
brake.
Turn the oil pump adjusting screw (1) counter‐
clockwise.
