► Turn fuel tank cap (1) anti-clockwise until it
can be removed.
► Remove the fuel tank cap.
► Add fuel, stopping at least 15 mm short of the
fuel tank brim.
► Place the fuel tank cap on the fuel tank.
► Turn the fuel tank cap clockwise and tighten
firmly by hand.
The fuel tank is sealed.
8 Adjusting the Lawn Mower
for the User
8.1 Folding Up the Handlebar
► Stop the engine.
► Detach the spark plug socket.
► Place the lawn mower on a level surface.
► Loosen star grips nuts (1) if they are tightened.
► Fold up handlebar (2), ensuring that cable (3)
is not trapped.
► Firmly tighten star grip nuts (1).
Handlebar (2) is firmly attached to the lawn
mower.
► Press control bar for mowing (4) to handle‐
bar (2) and hold.
► Slowly pull starter handle (5) in the direction of
starter rope guide (6).
► Hook starter handle (5) into starter rope
guide (6).
► Release control bar for mowing (4).
► Re-attach the spark plug socket.
8.2 Folding the Handlebar
The handlebar can be folded for space-saving
transport or storage.
► Stop the engine.
► Detach the spark plug socket.
► Place the lawn mower on a level surface.
► Press the control bar for mowing to the han‐
dlebar and hold.
► Detach the starter handle from the starter rope
guide and slowly guide back towards the
engine.
► Release the control bar for mowing.
► Hold the handlebar and loosen the star grip
nuts.
► Fold down the handlebar forwards.
9 Starting and Stopping the
Engine
9.1 Starting the Engine
► Place the lawn mower on a level surface.
► Press control bar for mowing (1) to the handle‐
bar with the left hand and hold.
