– Clean spark plug. (@)
– Adapt cutting level and driving speed to
the mowing conditions.
Fault:
Engine overheating.
Possible cause:
– Dirty cooling ribs.
– Engine oil level too low.
– V-belt worn.
Remedy:
– Clean cooling ribs. (@)
– Check the engine oil level and top up
the engine oil if necessary. (Ö 14.12)
– Replace the V-belt. (#)
Fault:
Machine does not drive.
Possible cause:
– Gearbox disengaged.
– V-belt (gearbox) detached.

due to incorrect sharpening or damage.
– The blade fastening screws are not
securely tightened.
– The engine mounting is not securely
tightened.
– V-belt is damaged.
Remedy:
– Re-sharpen the mowing blade and
balance or replace the mowing blade.
(Ö 14.6)
– Tighten the blade fastening screws to
the specified torque. (Ö 14.6)
– Tighten the engine mounting. (#)
– Replace the V-belt. (#)
Fault:
Poor cut, lawn turns yellow after mowing.
Possible cause:
– Mowing blade blunt or worn.
– The driving speed is too fast in relation
to the mowing conditions (cutting level,
lawn condition).
– Maximum engine speed not set (throttle
lever not in MAX position)
– Mowing deck adjustment not OK.
– Mowing deck discharge opening
blocked.
– The mowing deck is soiled with grass
residues (deposits on inside of mowing
deck housing).
Remedy:
– Sharpen or replace the mowing blade
(observe wear limits). (Ö 14.6)
– Reduce the driving speed and select a
higher cutting level.
– Set the throttle lever to the MAX
position. (Ö 8.2)
– Check the mowing deck adjustment
and re-adjust the mowing deck if
necessary. (Ö 14.7)
– Remove grass residues from the

Fault:
Mowing deck discharge opening blocked.
Possible cause:
– Mowing blade wing worn or damaged.
– Mowing grass which is too long or too
wet.
– The driving speed is too high in relation
to the set cutting level.
– Maximum engine speed not set (throttle
lever not in MAX position)
– Wrong driving direction during mowing
operation.
Remedy:
– Replace the mowing blade. (Ö 14.6)
– Mow the lawn in two stages: 1. Mowing
at the highest cutting level,
2. Mowing at the desired cutting level.
– Reduce the driving speed and select a
higher cutting level.
– Set the throttle lever to the MAX
position. (Ö 8.2)(Ö 8.3)
– Select correct driving direction during
mowing operation.
Fault:
Machine does not eject clippings evenly.
Possible cause:
– Grass is too damp and therefore too
heavy.

to the mowing conditions (cutting level,
lawn condition).
– Grass is too high.
– Cutting level set too low.
– Mowing blades are blunt or worn.
