English 8 Starting and Stopping the Engine
► Press the manual fuel pump bulb (1) at least five times.
► Move the choke lever (2) to position .
► Turn the throttle lever (3) clockwise as far as stop.
► Press the water pump down on the ground with your left
hand on the handlebar and step on the carrying frame with
your left foot.
► Pull the starter grip slowly with your right hand until you
feel it engage.
► Pull the starter grip quickly and allow the starter rope to
rewind several times until the engine fires and stops.
► If the engine does not stop: Move the choke lever (2) to
position so that the engine does not flood.
The engine stops.
8.3 Starting the Engine
► Select the correct starting procedure.
► Stand the water pump on a level surface.
► Move the choke lever (1) to position .
► Turn the throttle lever (2) clockwise as far as stop.
► Press the water pump down on the ground with your left
hand on the handlebar and step on the carrying frame with
your left foot.
