How to troubleshoot a Stuart Turner Water Pump that will not start?
    • P
      phayesJul 28, 2025
If your Stuart Turner Water Pump isn't starting, several factors could be at play. First, ensure sufficient gravity flow (approximately 0.8 l/min) is reaching the fittings by checking the water level in the supply tank and making sure all stopcocks are open. Next, examine the filter for blockages and clean it if necessary. Verify the electrical supply by checking wiring connections, ensuring all switches are on, confirming the correct fuse is fitted, and checking the circuit breaker. If the motor thermotrip has activated, wait for it to auto reset and verify the duty point and run time are within the specified limits. For a faulty reed switch/PCB, consult Stuart Turner for the appropriate test procedure.

      Alexis BakerAug 3, 2025
If your Stuart Turner Water Pump is running even when all terminal outlets are closed, there could be a leak in the system. Check tap washers, toilet valve washers, and pipe joints for leaks. If there are no leaks, the reed switch or P.C.B. might be faulty. Consult Stuart Turner for a test procedure.

      Joshua MoralesAug 9, 2025
If you have no hot water when using your Stuart Turner Water Pump, begin by venting the hot water pump of air, as the water feed may be air locked. Then, check that the boiler is switched ‘on’ and ensure the cylinder contains hot water. Finally, check the cylinder thermostat in case of a faulty thermostatic mixer valve.

How to improve reduced flow in a Stuart Turner Water Pump?
    • D
      david09Aug 15, 2025
If your Stuart Turner Water Pump's flow or performance is reduced, start by cleaning the inlet strainers, if fitted. Next, check and clean the shower head spray plate according to the manufacturer's instructions. Finally, if the issue persists, isolate the pump electrically and hydraulically to locate and remove any blockages in the pipework or pump itself.
