MAP DATA
REGARDING ROADS AND PLACE NAME DATA
When maps are created, land surveys are conducted and
informationon road improvements and reopening is collected
to provide the most accurate information possible. However,
modicationsto roads, place names and facilities may be carried
out at any time. Consequently, we cannot guarantee that map
data contains no errors in road positions, conguration and
names, or in facility names.
SUBARU MAP UPDATE
Map data can be updated using the following methods:
● USB memory: All map data can be updated at once.

● Wi-Fi®: Individual regions can be selected and their map
data updated.* →P.214
● Smartphone: Individual regions can be selected and
their map data updated. This method is for when the
map update data is to be downloaded to a smartphone
from outside of the vehicle, such as at home, and then
transferred to the system. →P.214
*: Up to 8 regions can be selected for the automatic update function.
NOTE
l Map update using Wi-Fi® or a smartphone may not be available in
some countries.
l For the best possible na
vigation experience, regularly update
maps for all frequented regions, including nearby states. Failure to
update maps for surrounding states may result in inaccurate map
information during interstate travel. Updates made using a USB
memory device will update map information for all states. Please visit
Subaru.com for more information and the latest updates.
l If the map update fails or cannot be performed when using Wi-Fi®
or a connected smartphone, check the communication status of
the connected device. If there is a problem with communication,
perform the procedure again using a dierent Wi-Fi® access point or
smartphone.
l If the map update procedure fails, refer to the “TROUBLESHOOTING”
