Listed below are some very important facts that you should follow.They are
listedforyourprotectionandsafety.
1. Haveyourdealershowyouwherethemaingasshut-offvalveislocatedand
howtoshutitoffinanemergency.
2. Useyourcooktoponlyforitsintendeduse.
WARNING! NEVER use this appliance as a space heater to heat or warm
the room. Doing so may result in carbon monoxide poisoning and
overheating of the appliance.
3. If the cook top is near a window, proper precautions should be taken to
preventcurtainsfromblowingoverburnerscreatingarehazard.
4. Keep the area around the cook top clean and clear of any combustible
materials,gasolineorotherammablevaporsandliquids.
5. Donotleavechildrenaloneorunsupervisedinareawherecooktopisbeing
used.Thetopburners,burnergratesandotherareasneartheburnersbecome
hotenoughtocausesevereburns.
6. Childrenshouldbetaughtthatthecooktopisnotatoy.Theyshouldnotbe
allowedtoplaywiththecontrolsoranyotherpartsoftheappliance.
7. Do not store items of interest to children in cabinets above or near the
cooktop.Childrenclimbingontheappliancetoreachitemscouldbeseriously
injured.
8. Donotwearloosettingclothingorlong-hangingsleevedclothingwhileusing
theappliance.Iftheycontacttheopenameoftheburner,theycouldigniteand
causesevereburns.
9. Useonlydrypotholderstoremovehotutensils.Usingdamppotholderson
hotsurfacescouldresultinburnstohands.Donotuseatowelorbulkyclothfor
apotholder.Theclothcouldcontactopenameandcatchre.
10. Neverheatanunopenedcontainer.Pressurebuild-upwithinthecontainer
cancauseittoexplode.
11. Keep cook top clean. The build-up of grease and food boil-over and/or
spillagecancreatearehazard.
12. Avoidusingyourcooktoporanyotherapplianceifyousmellgas.Donot
assume that the smell of gas in your RVis normal.Any time you detect the
odorof gas,itistobe consideredlifethreatening andcorrectedimmediately.
Extinguishanyopenamesincludingcigarettesandevacuateallpersonsfrom
thevehicle.Shut offgassupplyatLPgas bottle.(Seesafetynotice on front
coverofthismanual.)
13. Turnpanhandlesinwardortowardbackofcooktopandoutofthewayof
peoplewalking pastcook topand/oroutofthe reachof children.Donotturn
handlestowheretheyareovertheburners.
14. Donotusewaterongreaseres.Neverpick-upaamingpan.Smother
a aming pan with a lid or at pan. Flaming grease outside the pan can be
extinguishedwithbakingsodaoramultipurposedrychemicalreextinguisher.
15.Neverleavetopburner(s)unattended.
a.Forsuchreasonsasdowndraftsthatcouldbecreatedbyopening
andclosingofcabinetdoorsordoorswithintheRVorbypositiveor
negativeairpressuresaffectingburnersduetoimproperinstallation.
(See paragraph 6 under Installation.) The burner couldextinguish
resultingingasescapingintotheRV.Remember,gastoburnersis
controlledmanually,youmustturngas“ONand“”OFF”.

16. Flamesize
a. Neverextendtheamebeyondtheouteredgeoftheutensil.A
higheramesimplywastesheatandenergy.
b.Correctamesizeisdeterminedbyutensilsizeandmaterial,what
youarecookingandwhetherornotyouarecookingwithliquid.
17. Topreventdamagetothecooktop,topburners,ortopgrate,neveroperate
atopburnerwithoutapaninplace.Thetopburners,especiallythehighinput
burner(ifequipped),shouldnotbeoperatedonhighforanextendedperiodof
time.
Usethehighamesettingtobegin,thenreducetheametoalowersettingto
continuecooking.Neverusecookwarewhichextendsbeyondoneinchofthe
grate,orrestsovertwooperatingtopburners.Thiswillcauseexcessiveheat
build-upwhichresultsindamagetothegrate,topburner,andcooktop.
