2. Depressknobandturnfullycounter-clockwise
to“Lite”position.
a. Verify sufcient gas supply before attempting to light the burner. Air
inthegaslinewillsignicantlydelayburner ignition.The burnermaylight
unexpectedlyasthe air in the line clears and is replaced by LPgas. This
unexpectedignitioncouldburnyou.Airinthegaslinesmayoccurafterthe
vehicle gas bottle and/or tank is relled, during and after servicing other
appliancesonsamegasline,etc.
b. Do not attempt to light more than one burner at a time.
c. Immediatelylightburnerbyholdingalongmatchneartheburnerports.
CAUTION: Hand held ignitors may be used but be sure they are the type
designed for lighting open ame burners.
3. If any burner should extinguish after initial lighting or due to accidental
blow-out,turngasoffbyturningcontrolknobclockwise
to“OFF”,wait
ve(5)minutesbeforeattemptingtorelighttheburner.Failuretofollowthese
instructionscouldresultinareorexplosion.
If the burner should go out while cooking, or if there is an odor of gas, turn
controlknob(s)clockwise
to“OFF”.Waitve(5)minutesforgasodorto
disappear.Ifgasodorisstillpresent-Donotrelightburners.See“WhatToDoIf
YouSmellGas”onthefrontcoverofthismanual.
4. Toturnburner(s)“OFF”,turntheappropriatecontrolknobclockwise
to
“OFF”.
WARNING! Be sure all control knobs are turned “OFF” when you are not
cooking. Someone could be burned or a re could start if a burner is
accidently left on or unattended even if only momentarily.

1. Make sure all controls are “OFF” and the drop-in cook top is cool before
cleaning.
2. Make sure that all cook top surfaces, burner grates and burners are cool
beforecleaningordisassemblingcooktop.
3. Donotuseovencleaners,bleachorrustremoversonthecooktoporburner
grates.
4. Donotobstructtheowofcombustionandventilationair.
5. Cleanallsurfacesassoonaspossibleafterboiloversorspillovers.
6. Usewarmsoapywateronlytocleantheburnergrates,cooktops,painted
surfaces,porcelainsurfaces,stainlesssteelsurfacesandplasticitemsonyour
drop-incooktop.Donotusegritoracid-typecleaners.
7. Donotusesteelwoolorabrasivecleaners.Theywilldamageyourdrop-in
cooktop.Useonlynon-abrasiveplasticscrubbingpads.
8. Donotallowfoodscontainingacids(suchaslemonortomatojuice,orvinegar)
toremainonporcelainorpaintedsurfaces.Acidsmayremovetheglossynish.
9. Do not wash warm porcelain surfaces.Allow these areas to cool before
cleaning.Youcouldburnyourselfortheporcelaincouldcrack.
10. Pitting and discoloration will result if spills are allowed to remain for any
lengthoftimeonstainlesssteel.
11. Donotallowspilloverstoremainontheburnercaps.Thecapscouldbe
permanentlystainedifspilloversarenotcleaneduppromptly.
12. Ifanyoftheburnerportsortheoriceareclogged,carefullycleanwitha
smallwireorneedle.Besurenottoenlargeports.Neveruseawirebrushfor
cleaningburnerportsororice.Neveruseanybrushwhichmay“shed”bristles,
which may become lodged in the orice or burner ports and cause a re or
explosion.
TO REMOVE THE STOVE TOP
1. Removethetwo (2)thumbscrewsfromthesidesofthestovetop.Liftthe
stovetopclearoftheburnerbox.
2. Toreinstalltop,reversetheprocedure.
TO REMOVE GRATE(S)
1. Removethetop.
2. Squeezeoppositesidesofthegratetogetherandliftfreeofthedrop-intop.
3. Toreinstallgrate(s)reversetheprocedure.
