Start-up Inspection
Machine Walk Around Checks
Perform the checks before starting the engine.
Visually inspect well around the machine and
underneath
Inspect each part for oil, fuel, and coolant
leaks.
Inspect each part for loose bolts and nuts.
Inspect for open lines and shorts in the
electrical wiring and for battery terminal
looseness.
Inspect each part for oil soiling.
Clean off dust build-up.

Attachment (work unit)
Inspect high-pressure hoses and joints and
hydraulic cylinders for oil leaks.
Around bucket
Inspect bucket teeth and side cutter for
looseness, wear, and missing parts.
Inspect the greasing status around links.
Inspect if the amount of bucket backlash is
normal.(For "Adjustment of Bucket Backlash
"
(6-85), refer to the bucket item.)
