Tooth tip wear limits on the backhoe
bucket
The degree to which a tooth tip can be worn can
be assessed visually.
It is possible to extend the life of a tooth tip which
is wearing unevenly, in a non-symmetrical fashion.
Do not wait for tooth tips to be completely
worn through before changing them.

The adaptor could be seriously damaged.

Replacing Bucket Teeth: Standard type

As necessary
WARNING
When installing and removing the bucket
teeth and side cutters, place the bucket on
the block, to secure it.
Wear protective equipment (safety goggles,
gloves and others) during work.
Removing Bucket Teeth
Inspect the bucket teeth for wear and if there are
any holes or cracks, replace them.
Replace the teeth before they begin to wear down
to the adapter.

Use a hammer (*1) and punch (*2).
Remove the lock pin (2) attached to the bucket
to remove the tooth (1).
