If you notice a crack, chip, or missing piece on the Summit Cooktop's heating plate, stop using the cooktop immediately.
Why is the heating time longer than expected on my Summit CR2B23T3BTK15?
If your Summit Cooktop takes longer than expected to heat, it might be due to the pot you're using. Make sure the base of your pot isn't too concave; a flatter base is better. Also, ensure the pot's base size is appropriate for the heating zone you've selected.
Why is the burner glowing red intermittently on my Summit CR2B23T3BTK15?
The burner on your Summit Cooktop might glow red intermittently because the cooktop temperature is controlled by switching the heat on and off. It's normal not to always see the burner glowing red.

Why is the Summit CR2B23T3BTK15 Cooktop heating time longer than expected?
If your Summit Cooktop is taking longer to heat than expected, it might be due to the concavity of the pot base being too great or the size of the pot base being too big. Check your cookware to ensure it's suitable for the cooktop.
Why is the Summit CR2B23T3BTK15 Cooktop burner glowing red intermittently?
The Summit Cooktop's temperature is managed by cycling the heat on and off. Thus, the burner might not always glow red continuously. This on-off switching is more frequent at lower heat settings than at higher ones, and it also occurs at the highest setting.
This document describes Summit 2-Burner Electric Cooktops, available in various models, including CR2B23T3B, CR2B23T4W, CR2B23T3BTK15, CR2B23T4WTK15, CR2B15T1B, CR2B15T2W, CR2B15T1BTK15, and CR2B15T2WTK15. Models with "TK15" in the suffix include a Trim Kit for fitting into a 15" wide cutout.
These appliances are designed for normal cooking and frying in the kitchen. They feature ceramic glass cooking surfaces with two cooking zones and are operated via Touch Control keys. The cooktops are equipped with digital indicators that provide information about settings, activated functions, and residual heat.
Installation must comply with all local, state, and national electrical codes and be performed by a qualified technician. Failure to do so can result in fire, property damage, personal injury, or death. The electrical power supply must meet product specifications. Repairs should only be carried out by approved service personnel. If the appliance malfunctions or the surface is cracked, all cooking zones must be switched off immediately, and the Service Center contacted. Do not reuse a cracked cooktop until the glass surface has been replaced. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a service agent or similarly qualified person.
During use, avoid heating the room with the appliance. Keep connection leads of other electric appliances away from hot surfaces. Exercise caution when cooking with fats and oils, as they can catch fire quickly. Always switch off cooking zones after use and keep the control panel clean and dry. Never place combustible items on the cooktop or in drawers below it. Avoid storing plastic items or aerosol cans in drawers beneath the cooktop. Cabinet storage space above surface units should be avoided to prevent burns; if necessary, install a range hood that projects at least 5 inches horizontally beyond the bottom of the cabinets. Electrical appliance service cables must not touch hot plates. This appliance is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons without adequate supervision. Accessible parts become hot during use, so keep small children away.
To prevent damage to the appliance, do not use the cooking area as a worktop or storage space. Be careful when moving pots and pans to avoid scratching the ceramic glass surface. Do not leave cooking zones on with empty pots or no pots. While ceramic glass is tough, it can be damaged by hard or sharp objects falling on it. Exercise caution with cast iron pots or pots with rough edges, as they can cause scratches. Immediately remove any melted sugar or sugar mixtures from a hot cooking zone. Keep objects or materials that can melt, such as plastic utensils, aluminum foil, or cooking wraps, away from the ceramic glass surface.
