Overview

This document is a user manual for the Sunba Lite Series Network PTZ Camera, designed for premium engineering and durable outdoor surveillance, ideal for both residential and project sites.

Function Description

The Sunba Lite Series Network PTZ Camera is a versatile surveillance device offering pan, tilt, and zoom functionalities. It supports remote access via smartphone apps (XMEye, iSunba, iSunba Pro), VMS client software for PC/Mac, and web browsers (Internet Explorer, Chrome for Windows systems after 2024 with plugins). The camera is designed for both PoE (Power over Ethernet) and non-PoE (DC12V adapter) power solutions, making it adaptable to various installation environments. It features advanced surveillance capabilities including motion detection, face capture (on specific models with Sunba NVR), FTP communication for snapshots and videos, and auto-tracking for intrusion and line crossing. The camera also includes a built-in microphone for audio pick-up.

Important Technical Specifications

  • Power: Requires PoE+/++ adapters (injector/switch) with 802.3at/bt standard, delivering >25W. Conventional 802.3af PoE (15.4W) is insufficient and will cause underpower issues. Alternatively, it can be powered by a DC12V adapter. For non-PoE extensions, a thick (≥18 AWG) DC power extension cable or AC power extension cable is recommended to prevent voltage drops.
  • Network: Supports 2.4GHz WiFi networks; 5GHz is not supported for WiFi versions. Default ports are ONVIF 8899, TCP 34567, HTTP 80, and RTSP 554. These values must be unique.
  • Video Encoding: Supports H.264/H.265.
  • IP Rating: IP 66 Waterproof Rating for the camera body. Cable connectors may require additional waterproofing measures.
  • Storage: Supports TF card for image storage and recording.
  • Models Covered: 405-ECO V2, 405-D20X 4K V2, 405-D25X 4K. Auto-tracking is supported by almost all Lite series models in 2024.

Usage Features

  • Bench Test: Before outdoor mounting, an indoor bench test is crucial to verify PTZ functionality, live view, picture quality, and night vision (IR LED) for at least 24 hours. This helps rule out power supply issues.
  • Smartphone Setup: Download the XMEye, iSunba, or iSunba Pro app. Register for a "Cloud Login" to enable push notifications. Devices can be added by manual scan, QR code, or automatic search on the same WiFi network.
  • VMS Client Setup: Install VMS software from CD-ROM or sunbatech.com. Use default VMS account (admin/admin for PC, admin/(blank) for Mac). Use "IPV4 Search" to find and add the camera. Ensure firewall is temporarily disabled if the device doesn't show up.
  • Web Access: Access the camera via a web browser by entering its IP address. If the HTTP port is changed, include it (e.g., 192.168.1.211:8787). For Chrome on Windows, install web plugins.
  • WiFi Application (for WiFi versions): Enable WiFi via VMS/IE browser in Device Config > Network > WiFi (or Netservice > WiFi in IE). Enable DHCP, search for a stable 2.4GHz WiFi signal, enter the password, and apply settings.
  • Static IP Assignment: In Device Config > Network, unselect DHCP, change the camera IP, and apply. Power cycle the camera for changes to take effect.
  • Remote Access:
    • Sunba Cloud (P2P): Access remotely using the Cloud ID (Serial Number) via xmeye.net. Requires default media port (34567) and DNS on the same subnet as the router. NAT status must be "connected."
    • Port Forwarding: Forward HTTP (80) and TCP (34567) ports on your router. ONVIF and RTSP ports may also need forwarding for some apps. Note: Port forwarding increases security risks.
    • RTSP: Use RTSP URL for 3rd party service providers (e.g., rtsp://IP:554/user=admin&password=&channel=1&stream=0.sdp?real_stream).
    • VPN: Recommended for static IP and advanced routers. Establish a VPN on the router to access the camera remotely.
  • Presets, Patrol, and Pattern:
    • Presets: Set up to 50 PTZ positions. Use "XXX + Add Preset" to save, "XXX + CALL" to call, and "XXX + -" to delete.
    • Special Presets: Pre-existed presets for advanced commands (e.g., changing IR mode, auto scan boundaries). Refer to "The Full Preset List."
    • Patrol: Program the camera to travel between up to 10 presets in order. Activate using special preset 88.
    • Pattern: Record continuous movement sets. Requires Motion Detection and Video Blind to be disabled. Set actions using direction and zoom keys, end with "IRIS+" key.
  • Camera Configuration: Access via "DeviceCfg" in IE or "Device Config" in VMS (using Sunba protocol).
    • General: Change language, date.
    • Encode: Adjust resolution, bit rate, audio settings.
    • Network: Configure IP, gateway, DNS.
    • NetService: Set NTP, email alert, WiFi.
    • GUI Display: Customize camera name, time title.
    • Camera Parameter: Adjust exposure, WDR, shutter speed, image direction.
    • HDD Manage: Manage TF card.
    • Account: Add/delete/change user accounts and authority levels.
    • AutoMaintain: Set automatic reboot, clear cache.
    • Default: Reset to default configuration.
    • Import/Export: Save/load configuration and logs.
  • Account Management: Camera accounts are separate from VMS software accounts. Default camera username is "admin" with no password. Change the admin password for security.
  • Motion Detection: Enable alerts (buzzer, email, recording, snapshot, FTP, phone report) based on motion. Configure regions and sensitivity.
    • Human Detection: Filters motion to trigger alarms only for human shapes.
    • Video Blind: Alarms when camera vision is covered.
    • Video Loss: Alarms when video signal is lost.
    • Alarm Input/Output: For external sensors/lights (requires NVR support).
    • Abnormal: Alarms for storage device failure or IP conflict.
  • Face Capture: Supported by specific models when coupled with Sunba NVR F8009SE/F8010SE. Firmware upgrade may be required.
  • FTP Communication: Upload motion detection snapshots and videos to FTP. Enable "Detect" in Snapshot/Record Config and the FTP option in Device Config > Network > FTP (or NetService > FTP). Requires TF card or NVR for storage before upload.
  • Audio Setting: Camera has a built-in microphone. Enable audio in "Device Config->Encode->video/audio->Enable it" and click the headset icon in live view.
  • Auto Tracking:
    • Intrusion Tracking: Enable Human Detect in Device Config > Intelligent Alert. Set intrusion rules. Add and call preset 50.
    • Line Cross Tracking: Enable Human Detect in Device Config > Intelligent Alert. Set line cross rules. Add and call preset 51.
    • Patrol Tracking: Enable Human Detect in Device Config > Intelligent Alert. Add presets 53-59, then call preset 53. Configure auto tracking duration using special presets (e.g., 97+125+CALL for 15s).

Maintenance Features

  • Firmware Upgrade: Download "bin" format firmware files and upgrade via the camera configuration interface.
  • Default Settings: Reset camera configuration to default via the "Default" option in Device Config.
  • Troubleshooting: If search fails during setup, manually press the reset button (under the TF slot cover) for 8-10 seconds, or connect directly to PC/laptop and default via VMS/IE browser.
  • Waterproofing: While the camera is IP66 rated, cable connectors should be protected from water exposure. Methods include using waterproof Ethernet kits (requires cutting and crimping cable), electrical waterproof tape, or waterproof connector protectors.
  • Warranty: 2-year limited warranty in USA (1 year in other regions), covering parts only. Labor fee for repair inside the warehouse. Warranty is voided by physical damage, misuse, improper installation, or use of passive PoE injectors/splitters.
  • Return Policy: 30-day return window from receipt. RMA number required for returns, which must be sent within 14 days of RMA issuance. Full refund requires original packaging, manuals, brackets, and toolkit. Incomplete returns may incur a restocking fee.
