Overview

The device is an electric pressure washer designed for residential use to clean vehicles, machines, buildings, and facades. It is not suitable for connection to potable water mains.

Function Description:

The pressure washer operates by delivering a high-pressure jet of water, which can be combined with cleaning agents for more effective dirt removal. It features a pump encased in a shock-absorbing housing and is equipped with a spray wand and a non-slip handle grip for optimal working position. The unit is designed to be used with cold or lukewarm water; higher temperatures can damage the pump. It is crucial not to use water that is dirty, gritty, or contains chemical products, as these could impair operation and shorten the life of the machine.

The device incorporates a Total Stop System (TSS), which is a micro-switch sensitive to water flow. When the trigger is released, water stops flowing through the pump, and the TSS automatically turns the motor off. This protects the pump from overheating, saves energy, and prolongs pump life.

Usage Features:

The pressure washer comes with five Quick-Connect nozzles, each offering a different spray pattern suitable for various cleaning tasks:

  • 0° Intense-Jet Nozzle (Orange): Delivers a high-pressure, pencil-point jet stream for cutting heavy dirt deposits in small, concentrated areas. Ideal for dissolving stubborn substances like tar and grease spots on concrete, or removing caked mud from equipment. Also suitable for cleaning hard-to-reach areas like facades of 2-story buildings and undersides of lawn mowers and tractors. Care should be taken when using this nozzle to avoid permanently gouging wood or damaging fragile surfaces.
  • 15° Fan-Tip Nozzle (Yellow): For intense cleaning jobs on hard surfaces. Applications include stripping paint, removing oil stains, grease, heavy mildew stains, and rust from steel. This nozzle should only be used in areas that can withstand high pressure.
  • 25° Fan-Tip Nozzle (Green): For cleaning home siding, brick patios, wood decks, driveways, or sidewalks. When using this nozzle, it is recommended to test a small area first to avoid surface damage.
  • 40° Wide-Spray Tip Nozzle (Gray): For cleaning items such as cars, trucks, boats, patio furniture, or lawn equipment.
  • Soap Nozzle (Black): For low-pressure detergent application to clean equipment, remove mildew and oxidation stains from houses, clean bricks, or degrease grimy surfaces. This nozzle must be installed when using detergent.

The unit includes two removable detergent tanks and a detergent selection dial. Detergents specifically designed for pressure washers should be used; household detergents, acids, alkaline solutions, bleaches, solvents, flammable material, or industrial grade solutions are strictly prohibited as they can damage the pressure washer and the cleaning surface. When applying detergent, it is recommended to start from the bottom to the top of the dry surface. Wetting the surface first dilutes the detergent and reduces its cleaning ability. After application, the detergent should be allowed to remain on the surface for a short time before rinsing, but not allowed to dry on the surface, especially on painted surfaces.

The pressure washer is equipped with a trigger gun that features a safety lock. This lock prevents unintentional starting and should be engaged when changing nozzles or taking a break. To operate the unit, the safety lock must be disengaged, and the trigger pressed.

Safety Features:

  • Thermal Sensor: Protects the motor against overloading. The machine will restart after a few minutes once the thermal sensor has cooled.
  • Double Insulation: Provides two systems of insulation instead of grounding, requiring extreme care and knowledge of the system for servicing, which should only be performed by qualified service personnel.
  • Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) Protection: Ensures safety by interrupting the supply if leakage current to the earth exceeds a certain threshold. Receptacles with built-in GFCI protection can be used. The GFCI may need to be reset when first plugged into an electric outlet.
  • Unloader Valve: Reduces pressure if it exceeds preset values.
  • Trigger Gun Locking Device: Prevents accidental operation when activated.

General Safety Precautions:

  • Always read and understand the operator's manual before use.
  • Keep bystanders and pets away from the work area.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety footwear, snug-fitting clothing, protective gloves, hearing, and head protection.
  • Exercise caution to avoid slipping or falling, especially on slippery surfaces.
  • Do not operate the pressure washer when tired or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • Keep proper footing and balance at all times.
  • Ensure the switch is off before plugging in the machine to avoid unintentional starting.
  • Do not abuse the power cord; keep it away from heat, oil, and sharp edges.
  • Inspect electrical cables for damage or wear before use.
  • Never connect the pressure washer to a hot water supply, as this will significantly reduce pump life.
  • Store the pressure washer indoors in a frost-free area to prevent pump damage from freezing.
  • High-pressure jets can be dangerous if misused; never direct the jet at persons, pets, live electrical equipment, or the appliance itself.
  • Do not spray flammable liquids.
  • Disconnect from the electrical power supply before performing any maintenance.
  • Ensure the machine is used on a secure and stable surface in an upright position.
  • Check for damaged parts before use; do not operate if the supply cord, high-pressure hoses, or trigger gun are damaged.
  • If an extension cord is used, it must be watertight and of adequate gauge (14-gauge or heavier for cords up to 25 ft). The combined cord length should not exceed 60 ft.
  • Keep power cord connections dry and off the ground.
  • Do not use the pressure washer at temperatures below 32°F (0°C).
  • Completely unwind power cords on drums to prevent overheating.
  • In case of an accident or breakdown, switch off the machine immediately.

Maintenance Features:

  • Water Inlet Filter Cleaning: To ensure good performance, the water inlet filter (including the pre-filter) should be checked and cleaned regularly. Remove the filters and rinse them with warm water to prevent foreign matter from clogging the pump.
  • Nozzle Cleaning: The nozzle should be cleaned with the provided needle clean-out tool. Remove the spray wand from the gun, clear any dirt from the nozzle hole, and rinse. Additional debris can be removed by back flushing water through the nozzle and spray wand using a garden hose.
  • Winterizing and Long-Term Storage: If storing the pressure washer in temperatures below 32°F (0°C), disconnect all water connections. Turn on the machine for a few seconds to expel remaining water from the pump, then turn it off immediately. Do not kink the high-pressure hose. Store the machine and accessories in a room that does not reach freezing temperatures and is not near heat sources that could dry out pump seals. Operating the pressure washer with a non-corrosive/non-toxic anti-freeze, pump saver, or pump protector is recommended for winter storage. Before reusing, completely flush the unit with clear water, as anti-freeze products can damage paintwork.
  • Always disconnect the plug from the power supply socket before performing any maintenance tasks.
