Why won't the pilot light stay lit on my Superior Fireplaces DRT3000?
    • C
      carlsonmichaelAug 21, 2025
If your Superior Fireplaces Indoor Fireplace pilot won't stay lit after following the lighting instructions, the pilot generator (thermocouple) may be defective. Ensure the pilot flame is directly hitting the thermocouple. You may need to clean and/or adjust the pilot for maximum flame impingement on the thermocouple. Also, verify that the connection between the valve and thermocouple is tight and secure.

Why won't the main burner light on my Superior Fireplaces DRT3000 Indoor Fireplace, even though the igniter is sparking?
    • N
      Nicholas SanchezAug 30, 2025
If the main burner of your Superior Fireplaces Indoor Fireplace doesn't light, even though the igniter is sparking, it could be due to several reasons. First, check that the gas supply and shutoff valves are open and that gas is reaching the fireplace. Also, inspect the control compartment for any loose wiring to the valve or ignition module; if you find any, it's best to call a service technician. Another potential issue is air in the gas line, which might require purging by a service technician. Finally, make sure the unit is receiving power by replacing the unit's battery backup.

Why is there soot on the logs and glass of my Superior Fireplaces DRT3000 Indoor Fireplace?
    • M
      Megan FryeSep 3, 2025
If you notice soot on the logs and glass of your Superior Fireplaces Indoor Fireplace, there are several possible causes. Excessive flame impingement on the logs could be the issue, so ensure they are properly positioned. A white film may develop on the glass during the first few uses as part of the burn-in process. Clean the glass after each use (AFTER THE GLASS HAS COMPLETELY COOLED). Also, check for an improper vent restrictor setting or air shutter opening, and adjust them according to the instructions.
