      If your Superior Indoor Fireplace isn't turning on or off, start by making sure the wall switch plate is set to REMOTE. If that doesn't work, try operating the fireplace from the wall plate switch. Replace the batteries in the remote and/or wall switch, and check the gas supply and shutoff valves to ensure gas is reaching the unit. Also, check or replace the backup batteries behind the wall plate and the unit battery backup. Finally, check the building circuit breakers to ensure the fireplace is receiving power.

For other causes, adjust the air shutter opening by adjusting the air shutter adjustment lever or pushing in the rod. Make sure that the media is properly positioned to prevent excessive flame impingement on panels and the fireplace ceiling.
