.4 Cleaning the smoke chamber - Fig. 34÷38
Every year, clean the smoke chamber as follows:
•
Remove the screws which hold the exhaust outlet’s hatch in place,
then raise it and take it out pulling it towards you (fig 34, 35).
• Use a vacuum cleaner to clean any ash and carbonous deposits
which can accumulate in the chamber, paying particular attention
n
ot to damage the blades of the fan (fig 36, 37).
• After cleaning the chamber, thoroughly replace the hatch and if
n
ecessary replace the lining (fig 38).
7.5 Cleaning the exhaust system
Until you have acquired experience of the effects on the stove of its
habitual use, it is recommended to carry out this operation once a
month.
Remove the cap from the T-joint and clean the pipes.
If necessary, at least the first few times, consult a qualified person.
7.6 Cleaning the ceramic cover
The ceramic cover should first be cleaned with a soft dry cloth
before using even delicate detergents and a damp cloth.
DO NOT SOAK THE CERAMIC AND NEVER USE COLD WATER WHEN
IT IS STILL HOT - THE THERMAL SHOCK COULD BREAK IT.
7.7 Cleaning the metal parts
Clean the metal parts with a soft damp cloth.
NEVER CLEAN METALLIC PARTS USING ALCOHOLS, SOLVENTS,
PETROLEUM BASED AGENTS, ACETONES OR OTHER GREASE-
REMOVING SUBSTANCES.
In the case of such substances being used, Piazzetta declines every
responsibility.
Discolouration of metallic parts may be the r
esult of improper use.
7.8
Cleaning the window
The window in the door should be cleaned (when cold) with ammo-
nia-based degreasing agents and not with corrosives such as sol-
vents.
Do not allow corrosive substances to come into contact with the
stove’
s paintwork as this will damage it.
If the glass is hot, before cleaning, the door must remain open for
the time necessar
y to allow the glass to cool.
Do not use materials which might scratch or damage the glass.
