High De nition Audio (HD Audio)
The X7DWA-N features a 7.1+2 Channel High
De nition Audio (HDA) (JC1) codecs that provides
10DAC channels, simultaneously supporting 7.1
sound playback with 2 channels of independent
stereo sound output (multiple streaming) through
the front panel stereo out (for front L&R, rear
L&R), center and subwoofer speakers. Use the
a d v a n c ed s o f t w a r e i n c l u d e d i n th e C D - R O M w i t h
your motherboard to enable this function. Sound
is then output through the Line-In, Line-Out and
MIC jacks (see the graphics at right). Enable this
feature in the BIOS to use this feature.

CD Header
A 4-pin CD header is located at CD1 and a Front
Pane Accessible Audio header is located at JC2
on the motherboard. This headers allow you to
use the onboard sound for audio CD playback.
Connect an audio cable from your CD drive to
the CD header that ts your cable's connector.
Only one CD header can be used at any time.
