Why does SUPREME Industrial Equipment processor take more horsepower than it did when new?
    • O
      owernerAug 15, 2025
If the processor requires more horsepower than when it was new, the knives may be worn. Check and replace dull knives, as they can act as a brake, requiring more horsepower.

Why does it take longer to cut my dry forage now with SUPREME 1700TR, than when the processor was new?
    • D
      David GordonAug 18, 2025
If it takes longer to cut dry forage than when the processor was new, the knives may be worn. Check and replace dull knives, as dull knives will lengthen cutting time.

What to do if hay floats on top of mix in SUPREME 1700TR?
    • G
      George SparksAug 22, 2025
If hay floats on top of the mix, several factors could be the cause. First, ensure that you load dry light commodities first. Second, the bale may not be processed enough before adding other commodities; process dry commodities long enough to ensure the core comes apart. Finally, check the restrictor plates and set them to position #1 if they are in too far.

What to do if hay boils over top of tub in SUPREME 1700TR Industrial Equipment?
    • G
      Gregory YoungAug 25, 2025
If the hay boils over the top of the tub, it could be due to the unit being overloaded; decrease the volume of dry roughage. Also, check the yellow restrictor plates on the tub. Restrictor plates that are in too far can cause lighter commodities to rise up in the tub instead of falling down to the bottom. Set restrictor plates into position #1.

What to do if forage lengths are too long in SUPREME 1700TR Industrial Equipment?
    • M
      marygregoryAug 28, 2025
If the forage lengths are too long, set the restrictor plate to position #1. Also, increase the RPM (VFD only), make sure dry forage is added first, let forage process longer before adding other commodities, and add one or more extra knive(s).

What to do if there is a dead spot in the tub of SUPREME 1700TR Industrial Equipment?
    • M
      martineznicoleAug 31, 2025
If there's a dead spot in the tub where feed moves slower or not at all, check the leading edge of the auger for wear. A worn edge will not pull feed from the tub wall, causing feed to hang up in spots. Also, check the kicker plate for wear; a worn-off kicker plate will not direct feed into the auger, slowing down mixing.

How to fix uneven mix in SUPREME Industrial Equipment?
    • D
      donna72Sep 4, 2025
If you have an uneven mix, run the unit a little longer to ensure sufficient mixing time. Additionally, check the restrictor plates and set them to position #1 if they are in too far.
  • C
    Christopher CollinsSep 7, 2025
What to do if forage lengths are too short in SUPREME Industrial Equipment?
    • D
      Dana LynchSep 7, 2025
If the forage lengths are too short, it may be due to over-processing of the forage; try faster loading of commodities. Alternatively, decrease the RPM (VFD only) or remove knife #4 and/or #3 from the auger.

How to break up and process hard core bale in SUPREME Industrial Equipment?
    • S
      Samuel MendozaSep 12, 2025
If you have a hard core bale that is difficult to break up and process due to tightly wound, coarse roughage, add an extended backing plate to position #6 or #7 on the augers to decrease processing time.
