When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including
the following:
1. Read all instructions before using.
2. Before connecting the Kettle to the power supply, check that the voltage indicated on the
appliance (underneath the Kettle & base) corresponds with the voltage in your home. If this
is not the case, contact the original place of purchase and do not use the Kettle.
3. The attached base cannot be used for anything other than intended use. The Kettle can only
be used with the base provided.
4. Do not operate the appliance without liquid to avoid damaging the heat elements.
5. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of tables and countertops or touch hot surfaces.
6. Do not place on or near a hot gas stove or electric burner or in a heated oven.
7. Should you accidentally allow the Kettle to operate without water; the boil-dry protection will
automatically switch it off. If this should occur, allow the Kettle to cool before filling with cold
water and re-boiling.
8. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children. Ensure that
Kettle is used on a firm and flat surface where the children can’t touch, this can prevent from
overturning the Kettle to damage the person or Kettle. The appliance is not a toy. Do not let
children play with it.
9. To protect against a fire, electric shock or personal injury, do not immerse cord, electric plugs
or Kettle in water or other liquids.
10. Be careful when opening the lid for refilling when the Kettle is hot. Always ensure the lid is
closed and do not lift it while the water is boiling. Scalding may occur if the lid is removed
during the brewing cycle. Always take care to pour boiling water slowly and carefully
without tipping the Kettle too fast. If the Kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected.
Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot water. While
boiling water, avoid contact with steam from the spout when water is boiling or just after it
has switched off.
11. Do not touch the hot surface. Use the handle or the button.
12. The use of attachments that are not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may
result in fire, electric shock or personal injury.
13. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning; allow it to cool before putting on or
taking off parts and before cleaning the appliance.
14. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance
malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest
authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.
15. Do not use the appliance for other than intended use.

18. To disconnect, press the Start/Stop button to turn unit off, then remove plug from wall outlet.

Notes on the cord:
A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce risks resulting from becoming entangled in
or tripping over a long cord. If a longer extension cords is used, care must be taken in use. The
marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating
of the appliance. The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter
