What to do if Surefire Water Pump runs but display doesn't read flow?

If your Surefire Water Pump runs and liquid flows, but the display isn't reading the flow, try the following: First, unplug the flowmeter and check the voltage. Using a voltmeter, ensure there are 12 volts between pins 1 (black) and 2 (red) of the connector that plugs into the flowmeter. Also, check for 4-5 volts between pins 1 (black) and 3 (red). If the voltage is correct, perform a tap test. Have someone monitor the display at Diagnostics > System Information > Delivery System, watching the Flow Meter (Hz). Then, repeatedly tap between pins 1 and 3 on the flowmeter connector using a bent paper clip or wire. The display should show numbers on the Flow Meter (Hz) as you tap.

How to troubleshoot Surefire Water Pump that won't run?

To troubleshoot a Surefire Water Pump that won’t run: * Start by running the Calibrate PWM Limits Test and increase the PWM Duty Cycle (DC) to 100% by pressing (+). * Use a voltmeter to check the voltage at the 2-pin PWM connector at the EPD or hydraulic valve solenoid. You should see 12-13 volts. If there is voltage but the pump still doesn’t run: * For an electric pump, start the Calibrate PWM Limits Test to open Section Valves, then unplug the two big connectors that plug into the black EPD module on the pump tower and plug these connectors together. This will supply power directly from the battery to the pump(s), which should then run at full speed. * For a hydraulic pump, locate the Manual Override button (red knob on top of solenoid) on the hydraulic valve block and pop it...
