Before
installing
piston
rings,
measure
the
free
end
gap
of
each
ring
using
vernier
calipers.
Next,
fit
the
ring
in
the
cylinder,
and
measure
each
ring
end
gap
using
a
thickness
gauge.
If
any
ring
has
an
excess
end
gap,
replace
the
ring.
