SERVICING
ENGINE
CRANKCASE
BEARINGS
Inspect
the
play
of
the
crankcase
bearing
inner
race
by
hand
while
it
is
in
the
case.
Rotate
the
crankcase
bearing
inner
race
by
hand
to
inspect
for
abnormal
noise
and
smooth
rotation.
Replace
the
bearing
if
there
is
anything
unusual.
NOTE:
When
reassembling
the
bearing
retainer,
apply
a
small
quantity
of
THREAD
LOCK
“1303”
to
the
bearing
retainer
screws
and
L
bolts.
ENGINE
REASSEMBL
Reassembly
is
generally
performed
in
the
reverse
order
to
disassembly,
but
there
are
a
number
of
reassembling
steps
that
demand
or
deserve
detailed
explanation
or
emphasis.
These
steps
will
be
taken
up
for
respective
parts
and
components.
OIL
SEALS
©
Fit
the
oil
seals
to
the
cylinder
head
cover
crankcase,
clutch
cover
and
gearshifter
cover,
©
Coat
SUPER
GREASE
“A”
to
the
lip
of
oil
seals.
CAUTION:
Replace
the
oil
seals
with
new
ones
every
disassembly
to
Prevent
oil
leakage.
NOTE:
Apply
engine
oil
to
each
running
and
sliding
Part
before
reassembling.
