This motorcycle has a single-
speed transmission which oper-
ates as shown. To shift properly,
close the throttle before you oper-
ate the gearshift lever. Lift the
gearshift lever to shift to the neu-
tral position or depress the lever
to shift to the drive position.
REAR BRAKE PEDAL
Pressing the rear brake pedal will
apply the rear brake.
SIDE STAND
The motorcycle has a side stand.
To place the motorcycle on the
side stand, place your right foot
on the end of the side stand and
push down firmly until the stand
pivots fully through its arc and
comes to rest against its stop.
CAUTION
Park the motorcycle on firm,
level ground to help prevent it
from falling over.
If you must park on an incline,
aim the front of the motorcycle
uphill to reduce the possibility
of rolling off the side stand.
WARNING
Riding with the side stand
incompletely retracted can
result in an accident when you
turn left.
Always retract the side stand
completely before starting off.
