Engine Stop Switch 4
“” position
The ignition circuit is off and the
engine cannot start or run.
“” position
The ignition circuit is on and the
engine can run.
Electric Starter Button “” 5
Use this button to turn the starter
motor. Before starting the engine,
turn the ignition switch to the “ON”
position and shift the transmission
into neutral. Push the electric
starter button to start the engine.
NOTE: The engine can be started
in any gear, if it is hard to shift into
neutral, by squeezing the rear
brake lever fully (you will hear the
starter interlock switch “click.”).
CAUTION
Engaging the starter motor for
more than five seconds at a
time can damage the ATV.
The starter motor and wiring
harness may overheat.
If the engine does not start
after several attempts, check
the fuel supply and ignition
system. Refer to the TROUBLE-
SHOOTING section in this man-
ual.
